Concert in father's memory

From the archive, first published Thursday 5th Feb 2004.

THE Rotary Club of Bredon Hill's annual concert of popular classics will this year take place in Pershore Abbey on Saturday.

It will be performed by Elizabeth Keetley (pictured), piano, with the voices of Debbie Bennett and Ian Walton from the Birmingham Conservatoire, who will be joined by Neil Williams, a member of the Glyndebourne opera touring company.

The event will also be a memorial concert for John Keetley, Elizabeth's father, who died last year.

The programme will include some favourite arias from Puccini and songs from My Fair Lady and West Side Story.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets, which cost £8, are available from Pershore estate agent Richard Williams, Lifestyle and Blue, and at the door on the night. All proceeds will go to the Macmillan Worcestershire Appeal, the Three Counties Cobalt Unit Appeal and Rotary charities.
