SEVEN members of Evesham Wheelers took to the Vale lanes on their way to Shipston.
Badsey, Bretforton and Pebworth were visited before the midweek group cut up into the Cotswolds through Crimscote and Halford and entered Shipston through the pretty villages of Idicote and Honington.
The return was through Blackwell and Illmington, before the descent into the Vale through Mickleton, Pebworth and the Littletons with 47 miles covered.
Carol Hall and John James travelled to Hampton-in-Arden on Sunday to ride a 100K Solihull Randonnee. They travelled from Meriden towards Bosworth Field and then on to Newton Regis ahead of the return to their starting point.
Fifteen of the more hardy members set off from the High Street on the same morning when rain capes had to be donned. Arthur Bennett led the ride and pulled the group out through Fladbury, Cropthorne, Elmley Castle and Ashton-under-Hill.
With conditions deteriorating the final run to Toddington was taken with as much speed as the group could muster.
After coffee the group emerged into sunshine for the return via Stanway, Broadway, Willersey and Badsey before entering Evesham with 45 miles under their belts.
This Sunday's club run is to Shipston and leaves the High Street at 9.15am.
